About Us

Caring for children through learning, play & positive support

Working together to support your child’s early years

Children learn best when families and educators work together, and that partnership is at the heart of everything we do. We involve parents in nursery life through regular updates, parent meetings, shared activities and opportunities to join us for special events throughout the year.

Kiddies Arena has been part of the community since 2004, offering a warm, friendly and stimulating environment where children feel safe, valued and ready to learn. We believe in a child-centred approach that builds confidence, encourages curiosity and supports every stage of physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.

Our doors are always open to families. Parents are welcome to visit, share ideas, or contribute their time and skills, helping us create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is supported to flourish.

“Together we give your child the best start in life.”

Curriculum & Learning

Our nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which supports children from birth to five years old through play, active exploration and meaningful early learning experiences. Seven key areas guide our curriculum, helping each child develop vital skills at their own pace.

Our team is highly trained — from Level 2 and Level 3 practitioners to degree-qualified staff — and supported with ongoing training in First Aid, Safeguarding and Health & Safety. We are committed, patient and passionate educators who build strong foundations during the most important early years of a child’s life.

Literacy

We introduce early literacy through stories, songs, early writing play and plenty of speaking and listening activities. Children build vocabulary, develop a love for books and begin using early reading and writing skills through playful, age-appropriate experiences.

Mathematics

Early maths is explored through counting, shapes, patterns and simple problem-solving woven into daily play. Children learn to compare, sort, measure and understand numbers in meaningful, hands-on ways that build confidence and curiosity developing early maths skills.

Personal, Social and Emotional Development

We help children develop independence, emotional awareness and positive relationships with others. Through gentle routines and nurturing support, children learn to share, take turns, express their feelings and build healthy self-confidence.

Physical Development

Children enjoy both indoor and outdoor physical play, helping them build strength, balance and coordination. Our spacious, naturally bright rooms and much-loved outdoor area give children plenty of opportunities to move, explore and enjoy fresh air throughout the day.

Expressive Arts and Design

Through art, music, movement and imaginative play, children are encouraged to express themselves freely. We provide a variety of materials and experiences that spark creativity, develop fine motor skills and inspire joyful experimentation supporting creative play.

Communication and Language

Children develop early communication skills through conversation, storytelling, songs and playful interaction. We encourage children to listen, share ideas and build confidence in expressing themselves, helping them develop strong language skills and positive relationships.

Understanding of the World

Children explore nature, people, places and communities through hands-on experiences. Activities help build early science, cultural awareness and problem-solving skills, encouraging children to understand and appreciate the world around them.

More than just a joyful place

We offer a nurturing nursery experience shaped by warmth, learning and play — a place where children feel safe, supported and excited to grow each day.
